Website and Newsletter Update to CorbinBall.com

There is a different look to this site and to my upcoming TechTalk News. The site is now responsively designed making it more mobile friendly and opening the way for a more flexible design. We are still working out some of the bugs, but I hope you will find the changes for the better.  Also included is a slight rebranding from Corbin Ball Associates to Corbin Ball & Co. reflecting a move toward more sole-proprietor work. A big THANKS to Layton Rasco and the team at AttendeeNet who played a major part in making the transformation happen.

Meetings Tech HQ - The First Mobile-First Social Network for Events Industry Professionals Launches To Foster Deeper Industry Unity

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dedicated Social Network Only for Events Industry Professionals Launches To Foster Deeper Industry Unity.

Austin-based technology company, Skoop, team up with reputed industry influencer, Corbin Ball to build “Meetings Tech HQ” which is the first ever dedicated social networking platform created for event industry professionals globally.

(Austin, Texas) March 11, 2016 – Skoop, in partnership with highly reputed events industry influencer Corbin Ball, CMP, CSP announced today the launch of a dedicated social network just for events industry professionals called “Meetings Tech HQ”.

Meetings Tech HQ is the only customized micro social network built around a single industry that combines a highly relevant newsfeed, live polling, calendaring/scheduling capabilities and a messenger feature into one centralized platform.  Through its cloud based private community and highly intuitive front end mobile apps, Meetings Tech HQ plans to serve the events industry with its first ever dedicated social network designed to drive higher relevancy and conversations within its audience.

Powered by micro community builder Skoop, Meetings Tech HQ is available on Android and IOS today.

According to Corbin Ball, meetings technology analyst, I am excited and pleased to offer this mobile-first social network to the events community. It is my hope that it will be an easy and convenient place to connect, share and learn from each other.  I invite all meeting and tradeshow professionals interested in technology to download the app, stop by and check it out.”

According to Neil Patwardhan, founder and chief executive officer of EmBazaar Inc., the company that created SKOOP, "We wanted to build a mobile first event community where members are united on one easy to use platform and communicate year round.  This greatly reduces the dependency on email and other less engaging forms of communication.  We decided to partner with Corbin Ball to drive relevant content and conversations on one dedicated easy to use mobile app. Given the rise of noise on other social networks, this is a refreshing one stop show for meetings tech information that’s already set up.”

Key features in the app include: Heartbeat, which is a social feed containing user generated posts and news; Schedule, where members can view and RSVP to Corbin’s presentations, Polls, a feature that allows a user to get instant feedback from the community about any topic they desire, Messenger, a powerful chat function to co-ordinate and communicate with anybody in the community, Sub News-feeds to drive relevant conversations with fellow members and greater user curation.

In addition, when users register for the Meetings Tech HQ built by Skoop, they are not required to “friend” or “follow” individual users; rather, they are given access to content from all members of that community.  This promotes easy access to breaking news within the app.
